You can reach out to a Death Doula at any point during the end of life journey, or even in advance to facilitate planning. The earlier a doula can become involved, the more meaningful time can be spent building relationships with the individual and their family. This allows for the creation of personalized care plans, prioritization of end of life needs, and the crafting of a sacred space that honors the individual, their family, and their loved ones.
